Our chickens are raised on unsprayed pasture, fed non-GMO, corn-free, soy-free feed, and processed at a USDA-inspected facility. The chicks receive apple cider vinegar and minced garlic in their water to boost their digestive health. Once these chickens were old enough to go out to pasture, they were moved to fresh grass 6 days per week. The chickens are unvaccinated and raised in a natural way to avoid needing any medications that would degrade the final product! During processing, they are not placed in a chlorine bath like conventional chicken. Instead, they receive an organic, citrus-based rinse. Giblets are not included, but are available for purchase in bulk.
These chickens are Freedom Ranger Color Yield, a terrific breed that takes longer to raise, but produces a moist, flavorful, and filled-out carcass. This is our favorite breed to raise and eat!
