We breed Idaho Pasture Pigs and sell feeders and registered breeders! The Idaho Pasture Pig (IPP) is a unique breed developed by crossing Duroc, Old Berkshire, and Kunekune pigs to create a docile, grazing-friendly pig that thrives on pasture. Unlike traditional hogs that can root aggressively, IPPs have shorter snouts, allowing them to graze more efficiently without excessive pasture damage. Our piglets are born on pasture, and we focus on moving our herd to fresh pasture frequently, feeding a corn-free, soy-free feed, and we only administer garlic and diatomaceous earth for scheduled dewormings. All piglets are trained to 24" Premier1 electric netting, and we highly recommend it. Grandad Farms cannot guarantee that the piglets will be trained to lesser electric fencing.
For information on how to raise Idaho Pasture Pigs, visit our Pasture Pigs 101 resource.
We own Triton, Ida, and Kelly breeding lines. If you would like to find out the Coefficient of Inbreeding (COI) of your pigs with our pigs, we are happy to run the COI for you. Text Mark at (208) 207-4292 with the registration numbers in question.
To join the waitlist for feeders or breeders, please place a deposit. The deposit will be subtracted from the total price of the piglet. Pickup and delivery options are available.
